This week has NOT been the best weatherwise. But after a nearly perfect July, I suppose I can’t complain that much. It’s been a quiet week, with nothing terribly new or exciting.
We ARE trying a new type of diaper. I know, I know, this is not very newsworthy, but if the diapers are good, then they will be newsworthy. They’re some Swedish design, and made from … corn. Yup, like the kind on the cob. But they have no plastic in them at all, are biodegradable, and even compostable. (Composting is on our to-do list this summer. Then again, so was lawn care, and if you’ve been over to our place recently you’ll know how effective we’ve been at checking things off the to-do list lately.)
Anyway, these Nature Babycare diapers (“Go green without giving up performance”) are even thinner than our Seventh Generation ones, and apparently work as well or better than regular disposables. I’ll keep you posted on their performance.
It’s been raining a bit, which is nice for the lawn (see ‘neglect of lawn care’ above), but not so nice to go walking in. BUT, it does allow us to break out the new raincoat! So it’s not all bad.
And how cute, may I ask, is the new raincoat???
